THE LAST Trades Union Congress decided on a whole series of radical policies to deal with the threats facing the working class from this Tory government and the bosses. Virtually none of these policies was advanced during the year. This is little wonder. Because every time that workers mobilised to defend themselves the TUC or its leading lights stabbed them in the back. The record of the last twelve months proves once again the need for a new leadership of the TUC which is accountable to the rank and file.
